summary from Goodreads
A LITTLE BIT OF ANGEL LUST.

Sammael – call him Sam – was an angel once. An angel of death. But the dispassionate, watch-from-above thing just wasn’t working for him when it meant watching evil torture innocent souls day in and day out. It might have cost him his wings, but these days, he gets to apply the direct method on the bad guys. Problem is, what’s making his life difficult is a bad girl…

Seline O’Shaw needs protection, and with the hounds of hell on her tail, she’s not going to quibble too hard about where she gets it. Sam’s virtue is questionable, but he’s smoking hot, massively powerful, and owes her a favor. So what if she’s getting a little case of angel lust? There are some damn deadly sins after her hide…

Ellie's thoughts:
Sammael is a former angel of death and now one of the Fallen. Sam rules New Orleans and isn’t surprised when Seline O’Shaw comes to him for help. Sam has been fascinated with Seline every since he watched her dance in one of his clubs. When Seline’s true motives are revealed Sam turns the tables and plans to not only keep her for himself but to use her to find her brother. Sam never expected to feel anything but lust for Seline but as her secrets are exposed he realizes just how important she really is.

Seline will do anything to earn her freedom, even try to trap one of the most dangerous Fallen in the world. Sam is everything she should stay away from but he also might just be everything she needs to earn her freedom. Things don’t turn out the way Seline expected at all and she must soon fight not only for the truth of who she is but for the Fallen angel she now loves.

Angel Betrayed is the second book in this series by Cynthia Eden and it blows the first book out of the water. Normally second books are a little rocky but this book but this book had everything I wanted: a kick ass heroine, an alpha male who makes me swoon and tons of twists and turns. I never knew what was going to happen and that made the pages fly by and made me very sad when the adventure finally come to a conclusion.

Seline is a kick ass, super strong, take charge female and I loved her. She never sat back and let the men around her do all the work and wait to be saved. She went out and kicked as much butt as she had to and always stood up for what she wanted and for Sam. You have to respect a female who doesn’t shy away from a fight and will stop at nothing to be with her man. I loved her and hope to see more of her as the series continues.

Sam, Sam, Sam. Oh I love this man/Fallen. Sam was introduced in the first book and was the only reason I finished the book. I was eagerly anticipating his story and was not disappointed. Sam is a bad boy and he does what he wants, when he wants and doesn’t answer to anyone not even his fellow co-workers the death angels. I was very nervous to meet the woman who could tame him but Seline is perfect for him and they make a great team. Sam provides most of the laughs in the book and keeps the story for getting too dark. Sam comes off as a hard ass but we get to see him actually care not just for himself or Seline but for his fellow Fallen and it is very endearing.

I was almost ready to write off this series but I am so glad I gave it a second try. This book is amazing and if this is how the series is going to go I am hooked. There is just enough, action, romance and tons of surprises to keep readers interested and up all night reading until the very last page. Great book and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
