I'm new to audiobooks and have DNFd two audiobooks before I started listening to the Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones. Not only is the narrator, Lorelei King, beyond awesome but the plot and characters in this series are extremely entertaining and fun. King perfectly portrays Charley and the other characters in this series. She keeps the listener engaged and entertained. Not once was I bored or did my mind wander off while listening to this series.
This series has been on my TBR radar for awhile but I haven't had the time to read it. I decided to give the audiobook a try and I am so glad I did. I am absolutely in love with this series and can't wait to get my hands on book 4.
Charley is a great character and I love her snarkiness and her attitude. Cookie is a great side-kick and I can't get enough of her. I love that each character contributes so much to the story. Let's not forget about Reyes. He is one sexy mofo and I can't get enough of him. He was a huge presence in book 3...and huge angry presence. I was hoping there would be some more bathroom sexy times going on but they kept getting interrupted. Grrrr! By the end of book 3, I was just as mad at the men in Charley's life as she was. I don't know what's going to happen next and I can't wait to find out.
I definitely recommend this series and if you're a fan of audiobooks, this one is a must buy!
