Feedburner
Word on the street is that Google is shutting down FeedBurner on October 20th. Since Google seems to want to get rid of every single product bloggers use, it has me reconsidering making that move to WordPress. I honestly wonder if Blogger will be the next to go.
I've deleted my feed so if you subscribe by email, you will still receive my posts for the next 30 days. After that, you will have to subscribe to my blog via a reader (i.e. Google Reader) or visit my blog directly. In the meantime, I'm looking at other alternatives (as in FREE alternatives). I've heard about Feed Blitz and MailChimp. I may check them out BUT my dumb ass deleted my feed BEFORE downloading my subscribers list. Yeah, I'm real smart. *sigh*
EDIT: Ok. So I haven't found a good FREE alternative. I tried Feedcat and I really don't like the look and feel of it. I've been trying to retrieve my subscribers list or reactivate my original Feedburner account and it's not happening. So I had to create a new one and I'll just work with it until 10/20.
This turned out to be more work than I wanted it to. Oh well. So if my subscribers could re-subscribe with my new Feedburner account (the subscribe by email is on the sidebar and is linked to my new account) I'd greatly appreciate.
So sorry!!! I am so technologically challenged when it comes to some of this blogging stuff.
