Happy Blogiversary to Me!

Today Love To Read For Fun turns 3!! I don't feel a day over 1 and a half. LOL! I can't believe this blog is still going strong and that is thanks to my readers. I hit a milestone this year. I have over 1,000 GFC followers! Woo hoo!! It has never been about the numbers (well, maybe a little, in the beginning). I was just happy that folks were interested in what I had to say. I'd like to thank everyone for sticking around as I continue to fumble my way through this blogging thing. Even after 3 years, I sometimes wonder will I ever know what I'm doing.

In typical Marq fashion, this was going to be a week long celebration but time got away from me so the celebration has been whittled down to one day. What can I say? One of these days I'm going to get super organized. One of these days.

To celebrate my Blogiversary (or is it Blogaversary? Blogoversary?), I had a couple of my bloggy buddies write something nice about me. I wouldn't have it any other way. Ha!

A little over a year ago I was messing around on Twitter when one of my favorite reviewers @Love2Read4Fun posted an ad looking for a reviewer. At this point I was just a book addict but I thought “Why not?”, sent in a little review and got hired. Since then I have had the opportunity to work with Marq, who is awesome, and read and review a ton of great books. I love that my book addiction finally came in handy instead of draining my bank account each month. I love this blog and I am so happy that Marq lets me be a part of it. Happy blogiversary!!!!!

Happy Blogaversary Marq, have I ever mentioned how much I hate the term blogaversary? Happy day you started writing about other peoples writing! This year I've gotten to know you better, and if there's one thing I can count on your for, it's making coffee come straight out of my nose. I always thought I was blunt, but you have me beat by a mile. Here's to many more years of writing about other peoples writing. Love you lots girl, you may be fierce but you are one helluva a friend. As for my favourite book of 2012, that's going to have to be About Last Night by Ruthie Knox, I wish my subway rides were that entertaining!

Although I can't recall the first time I chatted with Marq aka Lovetoreadforfun (note: there is no "S" in her name), I know we've been tweeps for a long, long time. I think it may have been a BDB release, maybe Buffy, or perhaps Larissa Ione chat that brought us together. Or just chillin' with Bells on Twitter. In fact, now that I think of it, more likely than not, it was a hot guy that got us chatting!

Regardless of the hows and whens, I count Marq as a friend. Although we don't always read the same books, we share enough similar titles to chat about what's going on in various series. I always look to her blog for recommendations and reviews because I know that even if we don't always agree, she's got something good to share. I appreciate her views, and she usually gives me something new to think about on a book I have read. And when I was looking to set up my own blog, Marq was there to show me the ropes.

Then there is the fun. I had the privilege of meeting Marq first in Philadelphia at AAD2011, and then again at Lori Foster's Get Together earlier this year. Whether we are poking fun at what we see or giving each other the "Isaac two finger point," we always have a laugh. I hope I get to hang out with Marq again in 2013.

So to Marq, my friend, I wish a wonderful and marvelous 3rd Blogiversary. Keep the reviews, fun and interesting posts coming! Cheers to another great year.

Happy Anniversary to Love To Read For Fun! We've had another great
year of reading my friend haven't we? We also got the chance to meet
some of our favorite authors as well. You're probably wondering why I
keeping writing we right? Well we both like the same books most of
the time and it's always fun discussing them with you. We also like
to talk gossip and there are certain things that I can write to you
and you know exactly what I mean. *wink* You're also my road dog and
we traveled and experienced things together this year. Philly and
Ohio was fun! You always know how to make someone laugh and it's been
a pleasure to have been able to share in so many things with you over
the year! So Happy Anniversary from one book lover to another! I'm
looking forward to talking books with you again in the year to come!
