Rating System

Effective July 1, 2011 my rating system will change to the letter grade system. I feel that using letters instead of numbers offer more flexibility.

New Rating System (with number rating equivalent)
F/DNF: 1/5 - Did not like the book. Difficult to finish. A possible DNF (Did Not Finish)
D: 2/5 - An okay read with flaws. Able to finish the book but wasn't enjoyable. A library read.
C: 3/5 - I liked it. It was a good book. Would read other books by author
B: 4/5 - Really liked it. A must buy. Would book pimp to friends
A: 5/5 - It was amazing. Fantabulous! Could not put it down. Run to the store and buy it now!

Because I review books that I know I'm going to like, I rarely give out 1 or 2 star ratings. Most of my ratings are 3 and 4. A book would have to totally knock my socks off to get a 5 rating.

  • Books that I give a 3, 4, or 5 rating are books that I'd recommend to friends.
  • I would recommend a 2 rated book if I felt that the issue was with me and not necessarily the book.
